EALING GREEN WELSH CHAPEL
Sunday School
Seion Ealing Green has arguably the largest Sunday school of all the Welsh chapels in London thanks to its convenient location in a popular residential area not far from the M4, and also because of its proximity to and close links with Ysgol Gymraeg Llundain (the London Welsh School) which is also located in West London.
There are often 15 - 20 Welsh speaking children at the Sunday School which is held in the hall after attending the service with the congregation for about 10 - 15 minutes. The children frequently perform songs, read verses, and even lead the service on occasion.
Each major date in the diary is celebrated at the Sunday School, including St David's Day, Easter, thanksgiving and Christmas. Christmas also provides the children with an opportunity to perform a nativity play followed by a Christmas party in the church hall.
New families with children are always welcome at Seion. The children inevitably make good friends at Sunday School and close bonds are forged between the families. Friendships are also made with families who attend the other Welsh speaking Sunday Schools in London by attendance of various events throughout the year. These include: the children's Eisteddfod(Spring),Gymanfa Ganu (May), joint worship for the Urdd ( Autumn) , annual summer picnic (July)
